If every thing will be ok then most probably its expectation that central government will take some important decision on English as a mandatory subject on UpSC civil service examination 2013. Union public service commission recently changed the syllabus and pattern for upcoming IAS / IFS exam 2013. After revising syllabus now English will be compulsory for all candidates. Marks of English subject will be also added in final selection list. That’s why many other states opposing this decision taken by central government. As a protest results done by national level parties government had suspend the notification (Adhyadesh) regarding the new pattern
Till previous year examination only passing of English subjects was compulsory but no marks were added in merit list of selection. According to some credible source, Indian ministry now thinking about to re issue notification regarding English matter. candidates also speculating that no marks of English will be added in final merit list. Soon a meeting will be held for discussion on English necessity matter with UPSC. Union public service commission every year conducts a all India level examination for IAS (Indian Administrative service), IPS (Indian police service) , IFS (Indian forest service ) and the IFS (Indian foreign service )
After suspending this notification their will be no bad impact will be done on civil service preliminary examination which is schedule to held on 26 may 2013 (IAS PRE date ). According to new revised question paper pattern for main exam civil service, there are total 4 question paper of general study subject which will carry total 250 marks each and there are two optional papers. So far previous year their was only two compulsory papers of general study and two paper of option subjects.
According to new revised pattern mains exam will carry total 1800 marks . in which comprise 300-300 marks for English paper related to comprehension, and essay.
Question paper medium also changed. A candidates will not able to participate in civil service examination in their regional language till 25 candidates also willing to participate in same language.
